I was fortunate enough to travel to China and retrace the Silk Road on a study tour provided by the Freeman Foundation.  I was gone for 18 days,; but I had a different diet, drinking water, culture and TOILETS!!!  Glad to be home!

Native American Reservations

Watch these links and give one observation (detailed) about each link.  Think about what life would be like for you if you lived in Pine Ridge.  What could be done to assist the youth on the reservations?  Do you think many teens are able to leave the reservation to attend college "for free?" Why/why not?

The American Constitution

Your task is to copy/paste a quote referring to the US Constitution by a Founding Father or historical person (Charlie Sheen does not count!) and EXPLAIN what the quote means... and you may not use a quote that has already been posted, so read thoroughly through them.

An example of where to find some quotes is at this website, http://thinkexist.com/quotations/constitution/  however, this is not the only website.

Independence by Propaganda

Review the attached essay written by someone who states that the Colonies did not have the moral or legal right to rebel against Britain.  In 3 or more sentences, explain your reasons for agreeing or disagreeing with the student that wrote the essay.  Also, include in your answer evidence from another reliable website that supports your view.  (If you agree with the essay, you must still provide evidence from another site to support your view.)

Welcome!

I wanted to welcome you back to school.  I am looking forward to this year.  We will have a lot to cover, but I will do my best to make it interesting and fun.

This year, my goal is to interact with you outside of the classroom through blogging.  Throughout the year, I will be posting questions, videos, and activities.  I expect you to post answers, reflections, and comments at least once per six weeks.
